Pray for Ter2bug's husband

Ter's husband took a nap yesterday, woke up with tremors, and fell out of his scooter as a result. He is now has a kidney infection and is septic. He will be starting dialysis, and they are increasing his pain meds. Please pray for him and Ter as well; this is very difficult for both of them.

Thanks!

cooler an nutritious

I have a magic bullet but you can use a blender or food processor for this too. Also all measurements are approximate you can add or decrease as you want
1/2 a cup of FROZEN fruit (I like peach, banana, orange and pineapple together)
a couple of tablespoons of yogurt (optional if you have a dairy problem)
(I also like to add a couple of tsps of slimfast or protein powder to make it like the Orange Julius drinks)
A 1/2 - 1 cup of ice cold water
ice if you have it
blend this up and pour into a glass if you don't have a magic bullet
You can make this as thick or as thin as you want.
If you make it thick enough to need a spoon its almost like ice cream (in order to make it thicker add more FROZEN fruit).

beat the heat for a bit

Heres a trick for those of you needing to cool down for a while when its exceptionally hot out. If you can get your hands on a mint based lotion such as peppermint or a menthol based such as vicks and smear it on your lower back, shoulders, neck, feet and thighs (old t-shirt and socks come in handy if you use the vicks)then if your still a tad warm stand in front a fan and you'll be chattering in no time at all. I find alot of times if I just put some vicks on my feet and small of my back then my temps are dropping fast and I am actually on the cool side in no time at all, course no one wants to come around me for long but hey it beats passing out from heat stroke LOL.

Praise re: QuietSoul's husband

NOTHING was found on the rest of the tests on my husband's leg. Oncologist said it must have been an artifact of the isotope test. His back is much better and he's in physical therapy, feeling a lot less pain, and ready to return to work soon as doc give an OK. Thanks for all the prayers!

Pray for DJ her mother-in-law, and her family

DJ's mother-in-law is very sick right now. She had a heart attack last December and is not recovering well. She also has a bad hiatal hernia, so she can't eat much and is losing weight fast. She was in the hospital for iv feeding and is now home, but is still weak, won't get out of bed, and her heart is not strong enough for surgery. We prayed for her in the room last week, and she did get better over the weekend. The doctor says if she can eat 1200 calories a day, she should be alright. Pray that she can eat enough and that she can work thru the depression that has come with this illness. She does know the Lord and she is the heart of the family, so if/when she dies, she will leave a big hole.

Her daughter, (DJ's sister-in-law) is helping her, but she is diabetic and wants DJ to come help. The daughter needs to get back home but DJ's mother-in-law wants her daughter to stay.

At the same time, DJ's parents need her help as well and she is planning to travel to visit them in August. They were planning to move to assisted living, but the plans they had fell thru. Pray they can find an assisted living they can afford.

Also, DJ's son is having trouble at work. Please pray for him, too, and for DJ as she juggles all these needs and her own. Thanks!

Another Update on Quiet's hubby

He's home now, with strong pain meds and a tens unit. He has a bulging disc in L4-5 that is pinching a nerve. Prognosis is good with therapy and time. However, during an isotope bone scan they found something "suspicious" in his left leg. They ran some more tests but we don't have the results yet. The oncologist is concerned so we are hoping it is not another lesion.

Thanks for your prayers, deni AKA QuietSoul51

Update on Quiet's husband

He is on an IV pain pump and was up almost all of the night. This am he is vomiting and unable to eat. The doctor has said that sometimes his cancer treatment causes damage to the leg bone up in the hip socket, so that is what they are looking for first. He is depressed and in a LOT of pain. Please pray Steve senses God's nearness and that God will provide either relief or grant Steve endurance. (The cancer is multiple myeloma - blood cancer - not pancreatic.) Thanks for your prayer support.

Pray for Quietsoul51's husband

Quietsoul's husband went to the ER tonight with a lot of pain in his hip, thinking it might be broken. They did x-rays and found it was not broken, but they're keeping him overnight so they can do CT scans and MRIs tomorrow. He is still in a lot of pain; even morphine is not helping. As many of you know, he has pancreatic cancer, so there is a concern that he has a new lesion on his hip.

Pray that this is not cancer and for help for him during this time of great pain -- and for wisdom for the doctors in treating him. Thanks!

Happy 4th of July!

Hope you all have a happy and blessed day!

Keep praying for the US. We have been blessed in so many ways, especially to live in a country where we are free -- free to worship as we want and free to speak what we believe. Pray our freedoms are not eroded.

My chat will be canceled today.

God bless!

Prayer Request

I just recieved this email from my daughter about my 1 yr old grandson. Please pray for him and for the appt.
Just letting you know we just got back from the ER. Caidan has an umbilical hernia. I noticed it when he woke up crying and I changed his diaper and noticed his belly button was blown up like a balloon. We're going to his pediatrician tomorrow (lucky me just happened to have an appt. for his one year check up) and will get referred to a surgeon who will tell us what's going on.
