40 Day Prayer Devotional

Day 5 - April 27

Reconciling Others to Him

Scripture:
2 Corinthians 5:15, 17-18 (NLT)

15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. 17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 18 And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him.

Prayer Points:
• Ask God to search your heart and see if you are living in anyway for yourself – be
honest - repent, surrender, forsake
• Commit to the Lord that in the next 1 – 3 months you will intentionally give
yourself to reconciling one person to him – expect the opportunity (contact us for
helpful tools) and act on it
• Pray regularly for the individual people you know in the domains (fields of influence) of education, business, sport, art’s/media/entertainment, government, family, church, military to discover new life in Christ and experience the reality that their old life is gone. Pray they will be inspired as well to the task of reconciling others to Him.

40 Day Prayer Devotional

Day 6 - April 28

Be Prepared

Scripture:
1 Peter 3:15 "But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect"

Prayer Points:

• Pray that Canadian Christians will be prepared in season and out of season to share the Good News of Jesus to those who ask.

• Pray that more Canadians will begin asking.

• Pray that we will be clear about the reason for hope.

• Pray that we will show increased gentleness and respect as we live our lives in an attractive Christ-like way.
