Day 31 - May 23

Pray, Go, Share!

In John 4, Jesus is talking to His disciples. In Matthew 9, He is telling His disciples that even though it was December; the harvest was ripe, it was ready for picking – right now. You can’t wait four months – PRAY, GO AND SHARE

Scripture:
• “Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field." Matthew 9:35-38


Prayer Points:
• Ask that God’s people would first PRAY that He would prepare hearts for the seed of His Word.
• Pray for God to raise up workers for the harvest field

Scripture:
• "My food," said Jesus, "is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying 'One sows and another reaps' is true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labour." John 4:34-38


Prayer Points:
• Pray that God’s people would see that where they live and work is where God has placed them and there are people ripe for harvest.

Day 32 - May 24

The Gospel According To…My Life

Scripture:
“For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints, I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” Ephesians 1:15-19

Prayer Points:
• Pray that God would release a Spirit of wisdom and revelation to His church and to the world, that we might know Him better. Pray that the eyes of people’s hearts would be open to see Jesus.
• Pray that God’s people would know the hope of their calling, as ministers of reconciliation and as “living epistles”.
• Pray that the church of Canada would walk in His incomparably great power, being strengthened in our inner man by His Spirit, pursuing the lost with His passion.
